Veterans Day is a day to recognize the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of veterans and serves as an opportunity for the nation to express gratitude for their service and dedication.

2026 Central Florida Veterans Day Parades and Events

November marks National Veteran and Military Families Month, highlighted by Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. It is a federal holiday honoring everyone who has served in the United States Armed Forces — living and deceased, wartime and peacetime.

Unlike floating holidays, Veterans Day is always observed on November 11, the anniversary of the World War I armistice. Veterans Day is a time to say thank you to our veteran’s and service members, and to appreciate their sacrifices for our country.

Many cities and communities organize parades and ceremonies to honor veterans, and here in Central Florida there is many events to support, celebrate and recognize our veterans on Veterans Day. Plus, various attractions are offering free admission to veterans, together with special offers, and discounts from many area businesses.
