The City of Oviedo to host America 250 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks at Oviedo Mall

Join the City of Oviedo at Oviedo Mall on July 4, 2026 for an Independence Day Celebration that’s going all out as the city marks 250 years of the United States of America.

The City of Oviedo, in partnership with the Oviedo Mall, will host a family-friendly Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026, featuring indoor entertainment and an outdoor fireworks display.

The event will begin at 5 pm inside the air-conditioned Oviedo Mall, where guests can enjoy a variety of vendors, activities, and live entertainment. The celebration will be culminated in a fireworks show at 9 pm, held outdoors near the Dillard’s side of the mall. (Subject to weather conditions.)

This year’s event will feature our nation’s history as displayed throughout the Mall. The stage will be located at the food court with live performances from Oviedo's School of Rock and the University Performing Arts Center doing Ziegfeld Follies!

Entertainment and Displays will include features and character actors such as:

Minutemen walking through the crowds for photo ops

A Town Cryer

A Military Walk Through Time inside the Community Center - From the US Army

to Space Force, presented in part by the American Legion and Oviedo Historical

Society

Betsy Ross with the first American Flag (and a dissertation on the main stage at

5:30pm)

Benjamin Franklin

George Washington

John Hancock

Thomas Jefferson

Face Painters, Balloon artists, Children’s performers

A Balloon Artist

Stilt Walkers

Women in History section

Colonial Mapping Video depicting George Washington crossing the Delaware

At 7 pm at the Food Court Stage, there will be a talking re-enactment of the signing of the

Declaration of Independence.

Fireworks will start at 9 pm (pending weather) - be sure to get to your spot before then to enjoy!

The Food Court will be open for business, where you can grab a bite to eat. This is a FREE

event for the entire family!
