The 808 island bar and diner has closed in Thornton Park with a new dining concept opening in the space this month.
The 808, a Hawaiian-themed, island pub in the heart of Thornton Park in downtown Orlando, at 808 E. Washington Street has closed, with a new upscale dining concept, Jack & Honey's set to replace it later this month.
The 808 posted the news on it's Facebook Page, proclaiming that "the tide is changing, something new is coming in!"
The new eatery moving into the space, Jack & Honey's is a partnership with Jason Lambert, owner/operator of The Hammered Lamb, and Wendy Connor, owner of The Abbey, and an original partner in The 808.
It is expected that Jack & Honey's will be open for Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21, as the new diner has Pride events booked in for those date, April Fresh Comedy Brunch - PRIDE Edition and PRIDE: Show Me Yours and I'll Show You Mine, which are both listed on Jack & Honey's new Facebook Page.
