Philadelphia based pretzel brand, Philly Pretzel Factory opening its first Florida Location in Orlando

Philly Pretzel Factory is bringing authentic Philadelphia soft pretzels to Orlando.
The nation’s largest Philly-style pretzel brand has announced that it's making its way to Florida, opening its first location in the sunshine state in Orlando, with Philly Pretzel Factory bringing the heat with fresh, hot pretzels
Philly Pretzel Factory was founded in 1998 by Dan DiZio & Len Lehman who created a recipe unique to Philly. Today, they have over 150 locations, and Orlando is about to get a taste of authentic Philadelphia soft pretzels!
The new location which will be the first of several planned for the Orlando area, will offer all the Philly Pretzel Factory favorites, from traditional soft pretzels and pretzel dogs to mini-cheesesteak bites and spicy pretzel sausages.
These treats are hand-twisted and baked fresh using a short and sweet list of ingredients: flour, water, yeast, and a pinch of salt. Then you customize your snack with various sauces and toppings.
The project is being led by Derek Lewis, former PepsiCo president and franchise owner of several Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks locations in central Florida.
“Soft pretzels are woven into Philadelphia’s cultural fabric, and I’ve craved their distinctive taste since childhood,” said Lewis. “We’re creating a complete Philadelphia food experience that delivers world-class taste and quality to our guests.”
Philly Pretzel Factory CEO and co-founder Dan DiZio said Lewis “will be instrumental in introducing our brand to new communities.”
As part of the new partnership, some Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks locations will also now offer Philly soft pretzels, including its flagship store in Atlanta.
While a location in Orlando has not been announced, it is hoped to have the new store up and running later this year.
In addition to bringing Philly Pretzel Factory to Central Florida, Lewis is also set to open 10 Big Dave’s Cheesesteak locations in the area, with one already open within Downtown Orlando's Kia Center.
