September 5, 2025 - November 30, 2025

Explore the captivating world of renowned children's book author and illustrator Jason Chin, whose award-winning works illuminate the natural world. Chin’s intricate paintings and storytelling have earned him national acclaim, including the 2022 Caldecott Medal – an annual award presented by the American Library Association honoring the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children – for his work on Watercress, a book by Andrea Wang.

This exhibition showcases his artistic journey, inviting visitors of all ages to delve into the mysteries of coral reefs, redwood trees and the vast universe itself.


This exhibition was organized by the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature, Abilene, Texas.

As the largest state watercolor society in the U.S., the Florida Watercolor Society continues to promote the art of watercolor, educate the public on its significance as a creative medium, and contribute to the state’s cultural art scene.
