The original film premiered in 1975, and follows the two iconic characters as they go on a road trip after getting engaged and get stranded at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s mansion.
After its release, the film quickly gained a cult following as people began interacting with the movie, bringing props and dressing up as different characters, which eventually morphed into full on live shadow cast performances. It’s a fantastically bizarre party with motifs of 70s glam rock and gender expression.
