The new Walt Disney World license plate benefitting Make-A-Wish that was first unveiled back in May is rolling out across Florida this week.

The new speciality license plate is now available in local county tax collector’s offices and license plate agencies (DMVs) throughout Florida, with the newly redesigned Walt Disney World specialty license plate continuing to directly benefit Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida, helping grant even more wishes for children facing critical illnesses and their families. It’s a perfect way to add a little more pixie dust to your car while supporting a great cause.

Since being introduced during the 50th anniversary celebration, sales of the Disney license plate have raised over $2 million for this Make-A-Wish chapter.

“Disney is our largest wish granter in the world, and they know just how important it is to create joy and hope for children and families who need it most,” said Anne Cuba, President & CEO, Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. “This new license plate is the latest way we are making big impacts for wish families in Florida, and I can’t wait to see it hit the roads soon as even more Florida drivers join us in making wishes come true.”

Back in May, Walt Disney World teamed up with Make-A-Wish America to help grant the 150,000th Disney-inspired wish to 16-year-old Mikayla from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida who began her battle fighting cancer three years ago.

During the wish, Mikayla and her family were surprised with being Grand Marshals during the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park, but they didn’t just roll down Main Street, U.S.A. in the usual vehicle – they were treated to their very own coach with a shiny new license plate affixed to the coach as Disney unveiled the fresh new speciality licence plate design featuring Cinderella Castle.
