Museum of Illusions Orlando celebrates Día de los Muertos

MOI to honor the vibrant Mexican tradition with themed décor, interactive activities, celebrations Oct. 6 – Nov. 1.

This October, Museum of Illusions Orlando invites guests of all ages to honor and celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Beginning Monday, October 6, the museum will be transformed with vibrant décor, themed illusions, and interactive exhibits that pay tribute to the beloved Mexican tradition.
The celebration continues through November 1 with a series of special events designed for every age group, from creative kids’ workshops and cultural family activities to festive adults-only evenings.
Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition that’s about honoring life, family, and community,” said George Youngdahl, General Manager at Museum of Illusions Orlando. “We’re thrilled to blend this meaningful cultural celebration with our immersive illusions, creating an unforgettable experience for all of our guests.”
Special Events Schedule:
Kids Create: Día de los Muertos Tie-Dye Workshop. Saturday, October 11 & October 25 | 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. Children will design their own one-of-a-kind Museum of Illusions tie-dye T-shirt, bringing home a colorful memory. $19.99 per child | Limited space available
Sip & Paint: Day of the Dead Pottery Night. Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. A three-hour experience featuring two hours of pottery painting and one hour to explore the museum in a private, after-hours setting. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine, beer, and food for a creative, social night out. $39.99 per adult | Limited space available
Día de los Muertos Family Fun Day. Saturday, November 1 | 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A day filled with face painting, themed crafts, and interactive fun designed for families and children of all ages. General admission plus event add-on | Pricing to be announced
Día de los Muertos Party. Saturday, November 1 | 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. | Ages 21+ Only. An adults-only evening celebration featuring live DJ entertainment, face painting, a cash bar, and a prize for the best Day of the Dead–themed costume. $37.99 per adult | Limited capacity
