Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offering Launch Viewing Tickets for NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope

NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will launch from Kennedy Space Center – a mission that is expected to change our understanding of the universe, and you have the opportunity to watch the launch up close at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex!

Launch viewing tickets are now available at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope mission.

The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is currently slated to launch no earlier than 7:26 am EDT Sunday, August 30, 2026, aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Guests can choose from multiple launch viewing options that include designated viewing locations, live launch commentary from space-expert communicators, mission audio, video feeds, and visitor complex access.

Leading up to launch, guests can visit a Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope launch activation on the bottom floor of the Space Shuttle Atlantis® building on August 28 and 29.

From 10 am to 4 pm each day, members of the Roman team will share mission insights while guests explore a spacecraft model, infrared camera display, Roman-themed game, interactive displays, and educational materials highlighting the telescope’s science goals. In-depth mission presentations will also be offered in the Journey To Mars theater at 2 p.m. on August 29 and 30.

Named after NASA’s first chief astronomer, known as the “mother of the Hubble Space Telescope,” the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will have a field of view at least 100 times larger than Hubble’s and is designed to help answer essential questions about dark energy, exoplanets, and infrared astrophysics.
