Earth Day is a reminder to dedicate our time, resources, and energy to solving climate change and the many environmental issues that face us all.


This year’s Earth Day is April 22, 2023, and it marks the 53rd anniversary of the birth to the modern environmental movement.


To celebrate Earth Day, here in Orlando we have many events to bring the community together, including eco-friendly events, vegan food festivals, local artisanal markets, and even a paper-shredding party!


Whatever you plan to do on Earth Day 2023, have fun and remember that what you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.

Here are all the Earth Day celebrations happening in Orlando and throughout Central Florida.


The 28th Annual Earth Day Mount Dora
Saturday, April 15, 2023

Mount Dora's annual Earth Day event is back for its 28th year and is free to attend and will take place in Donnelly Park.


Celebrate the Earth with music, exhibits and fun vendors, plus Glide Adventure Tours will be on hand with SEGWAYS so you can try a glide around the park. A silent auction will round out the event with gift certificates and baskets.

Bazaar Botanica: Earthday Birthday Market

This year, a variety of Brevard County local businesses and conservation groups will be on site to share the sustainable practices they use within their business.


MASA's S.T.E.A.M. Team will be conducting experiments that are environmentally friendly, and education stations will be located on the bottom floor of Space Shuttle Atlantis.


All activations are included with admission to the visitor complex.

Did you know raptors, such as hawks, owls, Bald Eagles and osprey, play a vital role in Florida’s ecosystem? The health of these birds is crucial to our environment.


Join Dr. Daisy Fiore from the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey at Center for Health & Wellbeing 2005 Mizell Avenue Winter Park for an up-close look at some of Florida's native raptors and learn how you can help make your spaces more bird friendly this Earth Day. She’ll discuss the importance of planting native plants and explain how these special birds’ lives depend on plant diversity.

Bad Art Night: Upcycle Edition

Celebrate Earth Day at Altamonte Springs by unleashing your creative side and making some bad art at the City Library.


Adults and families with children ages 5 and up are welcome to attend this freestyle art event where the focus is to have fun while upcycling supplies into a masterpiece or a disasterpiece!

Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the City of Orlando's Green Works team for Earth Day Work Day on Friday, April 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at the City Hall Plaza.


Downtown workers, residents and the local community are invited to enjoy their lunch outdoors at the City Hall Plaza where they will learn about sustainability and environmental stewardship. This event will feature music, games, prizes and other activities.

2023 marks a special milestone as Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park celebrates its 25th anniversary on Earth Day, April 22.


To celebrate the 25th anniversary, limited time offerings are coming to the park including special limited time treats, merchandise celebrating the anniversary, and limited-time character sightings including Jiminy Cricket.


Moana, from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, will also begin greeting fellow voyagers on Discovery Island for the first time, starting April 22.

The City of St. Cloud’s Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library in hosting their annual Earth Day Celebration.


The event will take place at the beautiful Veterans Memorial St. Cloud Library located at “810 13th St, St. Cloud, from 10am-2pm.


This is a free event open to the public with eco-friendly classes, paper shredding truck, environmental exhibitors, face painting, textile recycling, local vendors, kids activities, battery recycling, and more!

The 18th Annual Central Florida Earth Day Festival

The largest and longest-running Earth Day festival in Central Florida, returns to Lake Eola Park on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Lake Eola Park (east side).


Central Florida Earth Day is organized by Vegetarians of Central Florida, a social and educational group for vegans and those aspiring to be in the Central Florida area.


Now in its 18th year, Central Florida Earth Day is an exciting day of colorful and educational exhibits and activities, and is the biggest and best Earth Day festival in Central Florida.

The City of Winter Park and Track Shack's Run for the Trees 5k run/walk presented by Center for Health and Wellbeing is a unique point to point event.


The last mile is on the tree-canopied, wilderness dirt road of Genius Drive. This privately owned glimpse of old Florida is opened to the public only once a year, for this event.
