Event on Oct. 25 and 26 includes spooky fun, games and haunted boat tours, plus, The Old Sugar Mill Pancake House will be open with Halloween Dinner Menu.

 

De Leon Springs State Park announces Haunted Halloween Adventure Event including Haunted Boat Tours

Historic De Leon Springs State Park located on a stunning natural spring and on the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, announces its signature Halloween event, Haunted Halloween Adventure at De Leon Springs, Oct. 25 and 26 from 6 to 9 pm. 


The free event will offer activities in Pavilion #5 that include Bobbing for Apples, Candy Corn Hole, Pin the Bones on the Skeleton, coloring and face painting. 


Special Haunted boat tours will be offered at 7 and 8 pm.  Free for children up to 2 years of age, $17 for children 3 to 5 years of age and $25 for ages 6 and up.

The park’s popular Old Sugar Mill Pancake House will be open during the event with a special Dinner Menu of all you can eat pancakes (all flavors except pumpkin spice), 2 eggs and meat, brains and eyeballs (spaghetti and meatballs), Mummy Dog with chips or slaw, Jack-O-Lantern Quesadilla and choice of salsa or guacamole. 


Special event dinner will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.  No advance reservation needed.  Come early to put your name on the wait list and enjoy all the activities.


The Visitor Center will also be open during the Haunted Halloween Adventure for gifts and historical tours.

All month long in September and October, the Sugar Mill Pancake House will offer limited edition Pumpkin Spice PancakesThe 100-year-old Sugar Mill at De Leon Springs State Park is a replica of the original 1830s sugar mill, followed by a grist mill to turn corn into flour during the Civil War.

 

De Leon Springs State Park is located at 601 Ponce de Leon Blvd. in De Leon Springs, offering bird watching, paddling, fishing, hiking, picnicking and boat tours. Regular wildlife viewing includes otters, alligators, manatees, ospreys, turtles, jumping mullet and even bald eagles. Open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. to dusk, with admission cost of $6 per vehicle.
