From as early as August through to November, Orlando transforms into the ultimate Halloween destination.
You can experience world famous scare events in the theme parks including the world's premier Halloween event is at Universal Orlando, where you experience terrifying haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of the park’s most exhilarating attractions at Halloween Horror Nights. Over on the west coast you take on terrifying haunts and thrills at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay where unspeakable horror lives in every dark corner, Howl-O-Scream brings fear to the next level and once you’re in there’s nothing to fear but everything. Back in Orlando, after dark when the park closes, SeaWorld Orlando transforms into an adults only scarefest with Howl-O-Scream, well worth a visit as is it's namesake signature event at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
Outside of the theme parks, Central Florida offers many unique and quite frankly terrifying local Halloween events and scarefests including must visit attractions, A Petrified Forrest in Altamonte Springs and Scream-A-Geddon in Dade City, plus Mortem Manor at Old Town in Kissimmee is Central Florida's only year round haunted attraction.

Haunted Houses & Trails in Orlando 2026

August 28 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is the world’s premier Halloween event, named the “Golden Ticket Legend for Best Halloween Event” by Amusement Today, HHN features haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment, thrilling attractions, and more.
HHN 35 will happen on select nights from August 28–November 1 at Universal Studios Florida. Premium Scream Night, an exclusive event featuring shorter wait times and select all-you-care-to-enjoy food, will take place on select nights, August 27 and October 19.
This year, the forces of fear will collide in a twisted, thrilling celebration of 35 years of horror, including a mix of popular horror franchise based houses, and unique original concepts, with the return of Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow at this year's icons.
This year's Haunted Houses includes Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, Sinners, Stranger Things 5, Hellraiser, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, and Evil Dead Burn.
Scare Zones coming to this year's HHN, include Jack and Dr. Oddfellow's Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, FORTNITEMARES, and Downtown Clown Town featuring Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Art the Clown and other murderous clownsfolk.
Plus, In the midst of the screams, guests can experience two live shows, Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir, and Stranger Things: Return to Hawkin, and of course it would not be HHN without an all-new Tribute Store, unique horror themed food and beverage, and so much more.
This event is designed for mature audiences and contains intense adult themes including blood, gore, and violence. Costumes are not permitted.

September 11 - October 31, 2026, Select Nights
Orlando’s most terrifying Halloween event is back and more bone-chilling than ever. Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando unleashes a new wave of screams with unexpected horrors lurking around every corner.
This separately ticketed event is built for the brave, featuring spine-tingling scare zones, menacing haunted houses, and heart-pounding thrill rides in the dark. This year, Howl-O-Scream will take place on select evenings from September 11 through October 31.
New this year, you can step inside the world of I Know What You Did Last Summer in an all-new haunted house where the Fisherman stalks your every move.
This year's after-hours event will feature 5 haunted houses with 4 ALL-NEW storylines and immersive horror environments, 6 scare zones where the fear is never far and no path is safe, with 4 ALL-NEW experiences and 2 fan-favorites returning.
The scary fun also includes 2 roaming hordes—you’ll never know when or where the terror will strike next, 5 ALL-NEW themed bars where eerie cocktails and interactive terrors await, electrifying live shows and atmospheric entertainment throughout the night, and more.
This event is designed for mature audiences and contains intense adult themes including blood, gore, and violence. Costumes are not permitted.

September 11 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
Step into Tampa Bay’s most terrifying Halloween event, where fear takes over every corner of the park. Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream transforms the entire park into a nightmarish realm of horror from haunted houses and scare zones to live shows and thrill rides consumed by darkness.
From September 11 through November 1, experience horror at every turn, including Haunted Houses – Immersive, high-intensity walk-through experiences, Scare Zones – Streets filled with roaming creatures and unexpected frights, Sinister Live Shows – Dark entertainment with shocking performances, and Thrill Rides in the Dark – World-class coasters and attractions transformed by terror. Plus, new this year, you can step inside the movie, Anaconda!
This event is designed for mature audiences and contains intense adult themes including blood, gore, and violence. Costumes are not permitted.

September 17 - October 31, 2026
When the sun goes down at Showcase of Citrus in Clermont, the Monster Trucks take a much darker turn. The Haunted Monster Truck Ride is returning for the 2026 Halloween season, taking brave riders on an after-dark adventure through a world of monsters, creatures, scares, and Halloween surprises.
Climb aboard one of the massive Monster Trucks and venture into the darkness as the familiar Florida countryside transforms into something altogether different. You never quite know what may be waiting around the next corner.

Year Round Attraction
Mortem Manor is located at Old Town in Kissimmee, and is Central Florida's only year-round haunted attraction. Journey through two floors of an old victorian themed haunted attraction filled with scares, thrills and fun. Featuring live actors, animatronics and state-of-the-art special effects that will leave you screaming for more!

August 23 - November 7, 2026, Select Nights
If you go down to the woods this spooky season you're in for a horrific surprise... Scream-A-Geddon in Dade City is spread across 20 acres in a remote corner of Pasco County.
The scariest of horror parks, Scream-A-Geddon Horror Park offers five haunted houses, a zombie paintball fight, plus monsters who can and will grab you! Plus, new for 2026 is Bonzo's Bizzar, featuring food, drinks, and chaos.
Scream-A-Geddon is only a miserable 1 hour, 30 minute drive from Orlando, and it is so worth it, if you dare...

September 19 - October 31, Saturday Nights
This Halloween you can experience a spooky adventure by land, water, and fear! This is not a traditional haunted house. The Terror 2 at Boggy Creek takes guests from the dark swamps into a breached containment zone through a nighttime airboat ride, haunted military transport, haunted trail, and optional interactive fight for survival.
Located in Kissimmee, The Terror 2 at Boggy Creek combines a nighttime Florida airboat ride, haunted military truck tour, haunted trail, and optional Survive the Swamp blaster arena for a one-of-a-kind Central Florida Halloween experience.

September 25 - November 7, 2026
The Haunting of River Ranch, located at Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo in River Ranch calls upon the spirits for a witching good time. This Halloween, the curse of Kicco the Clown continues, adding even more fright to the festivities. Plus, brave the Haunted Stables before your ride begins and experience a haunted hayride that uncovers a bone-chilling tale never-before-heard at the ranch.
Plus, explore scare zones, indulge in festive food and beverages, strike a pose at spooky photo ops, and dive into the Spooky Adventure Park for a Halloween adventure like no other!

September 25 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
The one of a kind outdoor haunted attraction, Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail is a not-to-be-missed horror theme park in Plant City.
The attraction which is celebrating 13 seasons of fear contains multiple haunted trails, escape games, a haunted hayride, laser tag, food vendors, a gift shop, axe throwing, and a common area that features an ornate centerpiece with wandering scare actors.

September 25 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
Pemberton Haunted Acres is a family-owned haunted attraction located in Plant City, perfectly situated between Orlando and Tampa. Established in 2009, the've expanded into a spine-chilling 5,000-square-foot haunted house packed with thrilling surprises, and things get very gory around here!
Each room within the haunted attraction is meticulously hand-crafted and customized to maximize the fear factor, and are updated each year! This year experience Hillbilly Mayhem, Krow's Revenge, Pine Hollow State Forest, and Valley View Hotel.

September 26 - October 31, 2026, Select Nights
UNDead in the Water is Tampa's premier authentic nautical haunted attraction. Traverse multiple decks of the American Victory Ship in Tampa, a historic WWII cargo ship armed only with nerves of steel and a will to survive. Due to its intensity, organizers recommend no children under age 11 attend.

October 2 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
Far Reach Ranch in Tavares is home to a terrifying haunted attraction called Fear Reach Scream Park.
Fear Reach Scream Park features 3 haunted attractions, then at Pitchfork Parlor you can enjoy spooky cocktails from the bar and live music featuring a punk/rockabilly band, plus try your hand at axe throwing and carnival games in Dr. Deviant’s Game Emporium!

October 2 - October 31, 2026, Select Nights
One of the best spooky season scare experiences in Central Florida is a horrifying journey into A Petrified Forest! This terrifying independent outdoor scare trail which is located in the Altamonte Springs area of Orlando is legendary around these parts, and this year's event is theamed to Nature's Fury, with each trail incorporating the theme.
A Petrified Forest is a home grown community attraction, offering three all-new intensely horrifying scare trails set in a genuinely spooky forest location covering around 2 acres. The trails are long, with uniquely themed rooms and awesome scares around every turn.
The annual Halloween event continues to grow every year, and now offers a whole night out with live DJs, great music, food trucks, local art vendors, laser tag, backstage tours, and so much more.

October 2 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
Step inside Psycho Circus in Haines City, where twisted clowns, nightmares, and chaos come alive at Horror House 2026. Horror House returns with a brand-new haunted experience where the circus has gone completely insane.
Psycho Circus is a haunted house experiece, a twisted nightmare filled with killer clowns, dark carnival scenes, disturbing characters, and unexpected scares around every corner. This is not a normal circus. The lights are broken, the performers are waiting, and once you enter the tent… the show begins. Each scene pulls you deeper into the madness until there is only one question left: Will you make it out before the final act?

October 3 - November 1, 2026, Select Nights
Dr. Grimley's Haunted Trail is located at Sunsational Farms, 40541 Roger Giles Road, Umatilla, with the spooky season attraction an outdoor haunted attraction. But not like the typical “haunted trail”. The’re more like an indoor haunt without a roof. They have walls, passageways, animated props, scare actors, and more.
From 8 pm until 10 pm, the trails consume you in their twisted terror. But after 10 pm, the rules change. The lights go out. Armed with only a tiny hand-held light (provided), you step into the “Lights Out” experience… a deeper level of fear where every shadow could hide your undoing.

October 17 - November 1, 2026, Select Dates
This Halloween season, join Tales of Terror and their band of miscreants at 14200 Corkwood Lane, Astatula in Lake County, as they bring you an 18 + only intensive immersive experience that brings you face to face with your worst nightmares.
See if you can escape the terrifying trail filled with monsters waiting to add you to their collection of guts and gore, and enjoy spine chilling performances by talented performers.
October 22 - 31, 2026
Get ready to face your fears... The annual Sorosis Club Haunted House located at 222 E University Ave, Orange City, is the highlight of the fundraising year for the the Sorosis Club of Orange City Entirely volunteer-run, each year they create six thrilling nights of scares. With over 60 volunteers each evening, including talented high school students who bring extra energy and fright!
October 23, 24, and 30, 2026
Face The Fear is a haunted house located at the campus of The Church @ 434, 817 E. State Road 434, Winter Springs, and features no bllod, no gore, just fears. This year Face the Fear returns with The Legend of GrizGo. Get ready for 3 nights of terror and face the legend as you face your fear in this themed walk-through haunted attraction in the woods without traditional blood or gore. This is a small group experience, and sels out each year.
