Colin Mochrie and Asad Mecci bring back HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis to Orlando on December 5

Hilarious, unpredictable, and unlike anything you’ve ever seen. HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis is coming back to Orlando in December.

From improv legend Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and world-renowned hypnotist Asad Mecci, HYPROV is a boundary-breaking comedy experience that fuses hypnosis and improvisation into one electrifying show.

Now in its 10th year, HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis has sold out venues across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, with the latest tour, the “Yes, It’s Real” Tour bringing fresh unscripted chaos to venues across North America, including a show in Orlando at The Plaza Live on  December 5t, 2026.

Tickets for the Orlando show are on sale Friday, April 10 at 10 am.

This comedy-show, social-experiment combination begins with Asad inviting 20 audience members on stage to be hypnotised. From there, the most responsive participants remain under hypnosis and join Colin for a completely improvised performance.

The result is a 90-minute experience that is never the same twice. With no script and no plan, it’s all quick wit, audience participation and an exploration of the unexpected.

HYPROV isn’t just a show — it’s part mind experiment, part comedy lab, and 100 percent entertainment. No two nights are ever the same.

Whether you’re a Whose Line fan, a live-comedy junkie, or simply chasing an unforgettable night out, HYPROV delivers.

HYPROV stars world-renowned and sought after Master Hypnotist Asad Mecci, alongside Colin Mochrie. HYPROV features improvised music throughout by music director, John Hilsen.

HYPROV was co-created by Colin Mochrie, Asad Mecci, and longtime producer Jeff Andrews in 2015 at Toronto’s legendary Second City in the John Candy Theatre. After developing the show on stage, the duo brought it to Just for Laughs London, Just for Laughs Montreal, and the Edinburgh Fringe, earning rave reviews in 2016 and 2017.

A 50-city North American tour followed in 2019, with over 200 performances across the U.S. and Canada. Produced by Sarah Power, the show quickly grew into an international sensation.

HYPROV made its Off-Broadway debut at New York’s Daryl Roth Theatre in 2022, directed by Stan Zimmerman (The Golden Girls, Gilmore Girls) with Tony Award winner Bob Martin (The Prom, The Drowsy Chaperone) as creative consultant. Scenic design by Jo Winiarski, lighting by Jeff Croiter, and sound by Walter Trarbach completed the production’s immersive design.

Grammy-nominated artist Rufus Wainwright composed original music for the show, adding a hypnotic sonic dimension that became a signature of HYPROV’s live experience.

In 2023, HYPROV launched a six-month Las Vegas residency at Harrah’s, followed by a blockbuster two-week run in Toronto at the CAA Theatre, selling over 7,300 tickets across 16 shows under the banner of Mirvish Productions. The momentum continued with a sold-out 2,000-seat performance at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre, attended by Canada’s Governor General.

HYPROV continues to tour in 2026, bringing laughter, surprise, and connection to audiences, everything that has made it a sensation across North America.
