Central Florida Jazz Society brings a new season to Judson’s Live

Emma Smith, Kandace Springs, Stacey Kent and the Django Festival All-Stars among artists at Dr. Phillips Center’s stylish 140-seat listening room.

Central Florida Jazz Society has announced today its concert series at Judson’s Live, bringing acclaimed jazz artists and special collaborations to the intimate music room at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The season features performances from the Orlando Jazz Orchestra, led by drummer and former Glenn Miller Orchestra member Greg Parnell, alongside artists including U.K.-based vocalist Emma Smith, the 2024 Parliamentary Jazz Awards Vocalist of the Year; acclaimed pianist and vocalist Champian Fulton; and the return of singer and bandleader Svetlana's Holiday Swing.

Other featured artists include Grammy Award-winning tenor saxophonist Doug Lawrence with the Markus Gottschlich Trio; the Django Festival All-Stars, carrying forward the string-driven sound pioneered by Django Reinhardt; singer, songwriter and pianist Kandace Springs; and jazz vocalist Stacey Kent.

“Every artist on this season’s calendar is a master of their craft, and together they tell a compelling story of where jazz has been and where it’s going,” said Douglas H. Glicken, board member of Central Florida Jazz Society. “That’s what Central Florida Jazz Society exists to do — bring that story to our community, one unforgettable night at a time.”
