Lacy Kuehl professional race car driver and founder of Drive for Diabetes Awareness, will be making a special appearance at thr Waggin' Weekend Event on February 1st!
Lacy isn't just any race car driver. She's been tearing up tracks since she was six years old, starting in go-karts and now competing in USLCI Legend Cars across the country. But what truly sets her apart is the incredible purpose driving every single lap she races.
After losing her baby brother Rocco to undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes when he was just one year old, Lacy transformed her grief into a powerful, life-saving mission. She's dedicated her racing platform to raising awareness about diabetes warning signs, traveling to schools, events, and racetracks nationwide to share Rocco's story and educate families on symptoms that could save lives, from excessive thirst to fruity breath to sudden weight loss.
Her message is simple but vital: "Check, don't guess." Lacy's commitment to making a difference has even taken her beyond the racetrack. She competed in the Jr. Iditarod in Alaska, racing through brutal conditions with a sled dog team, proving that no challenge is too big when you're racing with purpose. Her courage, her heart, and her determination inspire everyone she meets.
Mark your calendars for February 1st! Come meet this incredible young woman, hear her inspiring story, and be part of a day that celebrates both tail-wagging fun and life-changing awareness. This is an event you absolutely don't want to miss!
