This weekend, .before UCF’s homecoming game against BYU, fans of both schools will meet at a tailgate in Oviedo and instead of bringing beer and brats, they’re donating canned goods to stock UCF’s Knights Helping Knights Pantry!
The Cougs Care Food Drive Tailgate, BYU vs. UCF takes place on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. before kickoff.
Taking place at Carillon Elementary School, 3200 Lockwood Blvd., Oviedo, the event is free and open to the public, with fans of both teams welcome, and no game ticket is required.
Bring a nonperishable food item or hygiene donation, and enjoy games and activities, Cosmo and the BYU Cheer Squad, free swag, BYU merch for sale, with food for purchase too.
The last time BYU played in Orlando two years ago, its fans skipped the usual tailgate and brought food for the Knights Helping Knights Pantry instead, donating 2,000 lbs. of food when all was said and done. This year, they’re coming back to do it again.
The event is part of Cougs Care, a fan-led service project initiative that partners with a local nonprofit in the opponent’s city at every BYU away game. Orlando is the third stop of the 2026 season. Last year, Cougs Care collected 76,500 lbs. of food, 15 times more than the year before, and participation doubled to 26,500 nationwide.
There will be ample parking at the tailgate venue, and it is a 30 minute walk to the stadium. If you would like to park closer to the stadium, please visit the UCF gameday website.
