Since 1979, Audubon Center for Birds of Prey has rehabilitated thousands of raptors, and a new aviary now under construction will help the center with their mission.

The birds at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey are getting an upgrade, with the center closed until further notice as they undergo construction of a new aviary.
Audubon Center for Birds of Prey located at 1101 Audubon Way in Eatonville has been working on his project for two years, with the construction phase now underway.
The new aviary will include three enclosures for resident raptors: Barred Owls, Great Horned Owls, and Black Vultures.
While the construction is underway, the center is closed to visitors, but they will still be operating their Raptor Trauma Clinic and rehabilitation programs and able to admit injured raptors.
In addition they will also be conducting education programs off site.
After years in the Florida climate and multiple storms and hurricane events, a complete rebuild of the Center's original aviary will provide the resident owls and vultures with a structurally sound home to engage visitors in the center's work.
With the enhanced design and staff access, visitors will be able to view the owls, attend training events and activities, and learn about these amazing top predators.
