Dawoud Bey’s Evergreen depicts haunting images captured at the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. Installed across three video channels, the work scans the grounds of the most intact plantation complex still standing in the United States. The work captures swaths of trees and the remnants of living quarters of the historically enslaved Black people.

Gear up and strap in because math is about to go off the rails at Orlando Science Center! In 2TheXtreme!, the only limit is you, so let’s see how far you can go. In this interactive traveling exhibit, guests will go head-to-head in sports, set the stage for creativity, design the unthinkable, and explore worlds far beyond their own backyard, all while using the power of mathematics!

Now Snowing, Central Florida’s original and premier “Snowing” event, offers one of the area’s only synthetic ice rinks, special community performances by some of the area’s top young talent, and special concert events throughout the season. Now Snowing in Celebration is a month-long Winter Wonderland Spectacular featuring strolling Charles Dickens style Carolers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, train rides, ice skating, and nightly snowfall.

Help Wekiva Island spread holiday cheer! From November 28–December 14, Wekiva Island will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Wayne Densch Children’s Advocacy Center in Seminole County. Drop off toys at Wekiva Island anytime between Nov 28–Dec 14. All donations go directly to local children in need.

Jason Chin (American, born 1978) has written and illustrated award winning children’s books, including Redwoods, Grand Canyon, and Your Place in the Universe. His paintings in Watercress, alongside storytelling by Andrea Wang, garnered a 2022 Caldecott Medal. With a love for scientific wonders, he has illuminated the mysteries of coral reefs, redwood trees, the Galápagos Islands, gravity, and the elemental particles that make us who we are.

Join Southern Hill Farms located at 16651 Schofield Rd, Clermont for their annual Fall Festival. What fall adventure would be complete without farm wagon rides, yard games, live music, u-pick sunflower and zinnia fields, the 5 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch barn, and more! For nearly four decades, the Council of 101’s Festival of Trees has marked the start of the holiday season in Orlando. The tradition returns to the Orlando Museum of Art, Nov. 15–23, with its 39th annual celebration themed “A Season of Celebration.” Guests will be surrounded by dazzling displays including more than 50 designer-decorated trees, festive wreaths, gingerbread creations, holiday vignettes, and tabletop displays. Visitors can shop in the Holiday Boutique, stroll Santa Claus Lane, enjoy live entertainment scheduled daily, and dine in the Festival Café. On weekends, Santa Claus will be on hand for photos and meet-and-greets from 10 am - 5 pm. New events include creative holiday workshops and Holiday Home Tour.

Experience Contemporary (Myth and Storytelling) is a group exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and printed materials, featuring four contemporary Florida artists, curated by Justin Luper. The exhibit is on display at Casselberry Arts Center.

At Harvest Holler located at 950 Tavares Rd., Polk City, experience a real working family farm with animals, activities, corn maze and of course a pumpkin patch. Harvest Holler is a place where you can explore nature, have adventures outside and unplugged. Relax and enjoy the slow-paced farm life: Sit on a hay bale, drink some true southern sweet tea or lemonade and relish the time with your family.

Voted one of the best county fairs in Florida, the Volusia County Fair has all the staple ingredients, exciting rides, tricky carnival games, yummy fair food, traditional livestock shows and a wide variety of entertainment throughout the fair.

The Fall Pumpkin Patch is the perfect spot for family fun and time with friends. With every admission, guests will receive one free pumpkin to take home. Along the way, you can meet and snuggle our friendly farm animals, play in the corn box, climb up on our tractors, and race down the haywagon slides. Little artists will love leaving their mark in the chalk barn, and the always-popular bunny barn is waiting for visits and cuddles. Families can unwind on a tractor-pulled ride through shady trees, spread out under the wide-open skies, and even bring along a picnic to enjoy.
For even more farm fun, you’ll have the choice to feed the four-legged friends and saddle up for a classic pony ride.
