Breaking news this morning, Thursday, April 6 from Walt Disney World, as the resort has announced that it is to resume ALL Annual Pass sales this month. In news that so many people have been waiting for, Walt Disney World will resume sales of all annual pass tiers on April 20, 2023. Eligible DVC Members will have the opportunity to purchase the DVC Disney Sorcerer Pass online beginning April 13 as part of your Membership Magic benefits. The last time all Annual Pass tiers was available was in September 2021, but only for a brief two month period before they were removed from sale, all expect the Pixie Dust Pass which is available to Florida Residents only. Eligible DVC Members will have the opportunity to purchase the DVC Disney Sorcerer Pass online IN ADVANCE beginning April 13 as part of your Membership Magic benefits. New sales of the Disney Incredi-Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass and Disney Pirate Pass will resume and can be purchased online beginning on April 20! The prices: Incredi-Pass: $1,399, Sorcerer: $969, Pirate: $749, Pixie: $399. BUT... Disney have warned that the quantity of passes will be limited and passes, or a pass type, may become unavailable for purchase at any time. For the time being, there is no more old-fashioned family fun as you roast marshmallows next to a crackling fire at Walt Disney World as an open flame ban has came into effect immediately. Right now Central Florida is dealing with a lack of rain and moderate-to-severe drought conditions .leading to many wildfires occurring throughout the area. This has now led to Walt Disney World asking Guests staying at any of the on-site resorts to refrain from using open flames in most outdoor settings. Here is what you can and can't do: NOT APPROVED: Any outdoor cooking with charcoal/wood, or other solid fuel is prohibited. These restrictions include the use of Walt Disney World-provided charcoal grills at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and DVC sites, personal fire pits, consumer-grade fireworks (i.e. sparklers), or Guest-owned hibachi-style grills that utilize charcoal, wood, etc. As a result of these temporary restrictions, the following grills are not available to Guests: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, near Kidani sports court – 3 under Pavilion Disney's Bay Lake Tower – 4 at Pavilion by pool Disney's Beach Club Villas – 2 behind the Villas near pool Disney's Boardwalk Villas – 1 outside Community Hall Disney's Old Key West – 2 at Miller’s Road Pool, 4 at Turtle Pond Pool, 3 at Southpoint Pool Disney's Saratoga Springs Treehouses – Each unit has their own grill (60 total) Disney's Saratoga Springs – 2 at Playground at Congress Park Pool, 2 at Fountain at Carousel, 2 Outside Grandstand Pool APPROVED: Gas cooking grills in proper working order that contain fire, heat, and flames are allowed to be used where constantly attended; Campfires that have been permitted through the Fire Prevention Division; this covers all Walt Disney World Recreation Campfire Activities, as well as gas fire pits in common areas such as Coronado Springs, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House, and Bay Lake Tower; SO S'MORES ARE OK!! Fire torches that are a part of Disney-owned facilities (i.e. Polynesian walkways); Interior fireplaces and commercial kitchens in approved open buildings. Another day, another Genie+ sell out at Walt Disney World! Today, Thursday, April 6, the Genie+ skip-the-line service has sold out for the fourth day in a row while remaining at the record high price of $35 per person that was set yesterday. As Easter crowds continue to hop on over to the resorts theme parks, the high price to skip the queues is proving to be no barrier to guests purchasing the service, as yet again the service has sold out before 10 am today, the same as yesterday. If you are heading to the theme parks in the coming days, expect it to be very busy!! The Founding Feathers of the ever growing Chicken Guy chain, legendary chef Guy Fieri and renowned restaurateur Robert Earl have today, Wednesday April 5, visiting the Chicken Guy! location in Winter Park. The mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri was the center of attention as he revealed a brand new menu item, a Huckle Berry Shake, hand-spun vanilla soft serve mixed with berry puree, topped with a Cinnamon Toast crumble. And in even bigger news, he announced that Chicken Guy! has 80 new restaurants in the works. Fieri and Earl opened the first Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs back in 2018, with the flagship location inside Planet Hollywood which Robert Earl owns, alongside Earl Of Sandwich, also in Disney Springs. A new attraction is opening soon at the Orlando International Premium Outlets Orlando. The Lonely Dog Immersive Experience is a brand new family friendly experience you won't want to miss!
