The Seminole County Office of Emergency Management will be hosting its annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10 am - 2 pm to kick off Severe Weather Awareness Week! Families, kids, and community members are invited to come and check out the trucks, boats, helicopters, and other special heavy equipment that local agencies use during severe weather events and other emergencies. This fun free event for all the family takes place at Sanford Riverwalk at the Marina, and is free to attend! This hugely popular annual event attracts hundreds of families, and features a massive selection of vehicles and equipment, together with displays, demonstrations, and more, all to help families and individuals to prepare for severe weather, and other related disasters. Opera Tampa stages a two-act musical transformation of The Shining created by the Pulitzer Prize-winning team of composer Paul Moravec and librettist Mark Campbell. Who would have thought that a story by horror master Stephen King would find its way into the opera house?  It will when Straz Center’s Opera Tampa stages a two-act musical transformation of The Shining. Opera Tampa will present a chilling new production of The Shining, the acclaimed two-act opera by Paul Moravec and Mark Campbell, based on the novel by Stephen King. Performances take place on January 30 and February 1, 2026 at Ferguson Hall, David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa. The narrative of the opera, which premiered at the Minnesota Opera in 2016, should be familiar given the novel’s place in the cultural zeitgeist: When Jack Torrance gets a new job, he, his wife Wendy and their son Danny move to the quiet, remote Overlook Hotel in snowy Colorado, until things aren’t so quiet anymore. New premium spaces, all-inclusive seating and more coming to the home of Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride in 2026. Downtown Orlando's Inter&Co Stadium will see a number of significant enhancements this year, all designed to elevate the gameday experience for fans ahead of the 2026 MLS and NWSL seasons. The upgrades include a renovated club space, new all‑inclusive seating options and improvements to fan comfort throughout the venue.  “Inter&Co Stadium continues to evolve as part of our commitment to providing a world-class matchday experience,” said Jarrod Dillon, Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride and Inter&Co Stadium President of Business Operations. “With a larger, refreshed West Club, new all‑inclusive experiences and enhancements throughout the concourse, we’re elevating the matchday experience for all fans at the stadium.” Inter&Co Stadium announces upgrades ahead of 2026 MLS & NWSL Seasons. English reggae pop band UB40 are returning stateside this year with The Unstoppable Tour, including a returns to the stage at Hard Rock Live Orlando. Four-time Grammy nominated UB40 are returning to North America with a new headline run this fall. The Unstoppable Tour 2026 will include a massive 40 shows across the U.S. and Canada, running from mid September through mid November. The legendary reggae-pop band are back in North America for a fifth consecutive year, bringing fans an electric performances, featuring classic hit singles, "Red Red Wine," "Food For Thought," "(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You," and many more, including music from their current album, "UB45," plus tracks from a new album they plan to release this summer. “We can’t wait to embark on ‘The Unstoppable Tour,’ as the tour title says, that’s how we are feeling!” commented vocalist Robin Campbell. “New music, more shows than our last visit, and a more extensive tour of Canada. Purity Ring, multi-instrumentalist/producer Corin Roddick and vocalist Megan James are coming to Florida for three shows in May. T he Canadian electronic pop duo of Corin Roddick and Megan James, Purity Ring has announced a headline run of shows, with the Place Of My Own Tour heading out across North America in Spring this year.. The headline run of 29 shows will kick off in Sacramento, CA on April 17, and includes three shows in Florida, with the duo landing in Orlando on May 1, taking to the stage at The Plaza Live, the following night May 2, the duo will perform an outdoor show at Jannus Live in St Petersburg, before a show at Five in Jacksonville. The tour will wind up on May 28 in Anchorage, AK before the duo perfom at the Metronome Festival in Prague, Czechia. Anthony Becht, who served as head coach of the St. Louis Battlehawks for the past three seasons, will guide Orlando Storm through its inaugural UFL campaign.  he United Football League today announced that the Orlando Storm will open their inaugural 2026 season by hosting the Columbus Aviators on Sunday, March 29, at Inter&Co Stadium, with kickoff set for 8 pm. ET. The primetime matchup will close out the opening weekend of the 2026 UFL schedule and mark the Storm’s on-field debut under head coach Anthony Becht. The historic “407 Kickoff” celebration will feature appearances by Central Florida legends and community leaders, exclusive gameday giveaways, and the unveiling of the team’s new mascot, making it a can’t-miss event for fans in Orlando’s first UFL season.
