Thanks to Jack, Orlando will soon be able to satisfy it's chicken and beef cravings with the announcement of yet more restaurants coming to the area. It was back in March 2023 we brought you the news that California based fast food chain Jack In The Box had plans to return to Florida for the first time in over 30 years, with a new restaurant in Orlando included in expansion plans. Then in February this year, the company gave an update including a new franchisee for Orlando, Ed Zausch who planned to open not 1, but 10 new Orlando area restaurants! Now, as we await the first of the restaurants to open, Jack In The Box has announced that another 10 restaurants are set to open in Orlando thanks to another franchise joining the company. “Expanding into Florida, one of the nation's largest and fastest-growing states, aligns perfectly with our strategic plan for the Southeast,” said Tim Linderman, chief development officer. “We're thrilled to bring our iconic brand to Tallahassee, our next new market, and further develop our presence in Orlando.” The details for the franchise expansion plans include future development commitments for five locations in Tallahassee and an additional ten locations in Orlando. Specific locations for each restaurant have not been identified. Florida's dynamic population growth and business-friendly environment were cited as key factors driving the expansion. With over 400 new franchise commitments secured in the last three years, nearly 10% of which are slated for Florida, the company emphasizes its commitment to the Sunshine State. "We currently operate a globally recognized family dining concept, but we see the business opportunity in the quick-service segment,” said Dan Soma, Orlando-based Jack in the Box franchisee. “We’ve been looking for a brand partner that’s well known nationally and that provides us with an opportunity for scale. We believe we’ve found this with Jack in the Box, and we are excited about this new partnership and opportunity to serve the greater Orlando community." Jack in the Box is known for its iconic menu that features customer favorites like burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, breakfast, and late-night snacking options. • Universal Orlando announce 'A Quiet Place' Haunted House is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 33

Paramount Pictures’ critically acclaimed film series A Quiet Place comes to life as an All-New Halloween Horror Nights Haunted House at Universal Orlando Resort. Following rumors that a A Quiet Place haunted house was coming to HHN 33, the news has been confirmed today, June 6 by Universal. Guests will need to silence their screams when they enter the post-apocalyptic world of Paramount Pictures’ blockbuster movies, A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II, in an all-new chilling haunted house at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. The terror of the excruciating silence is set to begin Friday, August 30 at Universal Orlando Resort. Directed by John Krasinski and critically acclaimed for its suspenseful yet mostly silent storytelling, A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II follow the Abbott family as they try to survive the aftermath of sightless creatures with a sharp sense of hearing that draws them to prey on anything that makes the slightest noise. Mirroring the silence in the films, the haunted houses will embrace unique sound design, special effects and the adept performances of the scareactors to convey the ominous sense of dread depicted in the films. Consequential to the storyline, Halloween Horror Nights will incorporate the use of American Sign Language (ASL) for the first time ever within the “A Quiet Place” haunted houses to capture the authenticity of the films. Fans will relive the tension that will come to life in the iconic scenes from the first two films, including traveling through the farmhouse that serves as the Abbott family’s shelter and stepping into the root cellar where Evelyn Abbott escapes to give birth as one of the creatures closes in. The snarls of the larger-than-life predators will follow guests at every spine-chilling turn, and guests must remember: if they hear you, they will hunt you. At Universal Orlando this spooky season, a chilling new collection of horrifying experiences await guests, including 10 all-new movie-quality haunted houses, five scare zones filled with hundreds of menacing creatures, plus an energetic live show. Select tickets for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando are available for purchase, including single-night tickets, Express Passes, the R.I.P Tour, which provides front of the line access to the haunted houses, and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour that offers a glimpse into how the scares are brought to life via a daytime, lights-on journey through select haunted house. Premium Scream Night guests will also enjoy shorter wait times and staggered entry by group to the haunted houses, select all-you-care-to-enjoy food and non-alcoholic beverages, a souvenir credential, access to select attractions at Universal Studios Florida and free self-parking. • Movie Trash at The Nook presents the good, trashy, '90s Embrace Of The Vampire!

Movie Trash at The Nook presents Embrace of the Vampire, a 1995 American direct-to-video erotic horror film directed by Anne Goursaud. On Saturday,June 8 at 8 pm, Movie Trash at The Nook located at 2432 E. Robinson St, Orlando presents 90s horror, EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE. Five long years before the pearl-clutching controversy of Jessica Beil posing semi-nude for Gear while trying to prove she wasn’t just a teen star on a wholesome television series, Alyssa Milano was out there showing how much she WASN’T Sam from Who’s the Boss by starring in this melodramatic, nudity-filled, glorified made-for-Lifetime vampire drama EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE. All of this may seem quaint in 2024, but this was a big deal in our pre-internet world. At least it was for those of us coming of age in the 90s. Is the movie good? Of course not! That is why The Nook is showing it. Buuuuuut you can be assured that you will laugh through the entire thing and maybe leave with a new favorite vampire flick. Well, Queen of the Damned still exists, so maybe it’ll be a tie. Bring a chair if you have one (The Nook has seating, but it is limited). As with all Movie Trash at The Nook screenings, it is free and open to the public, however, if you’d like to throw Orlando Pop-Up Movie Services a few bucks in the tip jar, that would be amazing.
