Busch Gardens guests will also get the opportunity to experience a Coke Florida Reverse Vending Machine (RVM). RVMs are the latest in recycling technology, collecting empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Each time park guests recycles with the machine; they will have a chance to receive a free reusable straw or pen made from recycled plastic. The materials collected via the RVM are reused by the Company to make new beverage packages and help contribute to a circular economy. Record Store Day is an annual event to celebrate the culture of independently owned record stores, and here in Orlando there is special events, and releases to celebrate. Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently-owned record stores in the US, with the first Record Store Day taking place on April 19, 2008. Today, Record Store Day is celebrated at independently-owned brick-and-mortar record stores around the world, a day that brings together fans, artists, and the thousands of independent record store. To celebrate the day, a number of records are pressed specifically for Record Store Day, and are only distributed to shops participating in the event. This year's record Store Day is on Saturday, April 20, and here in Orlando we have several record stores that are thriving, and thanks to the resurgence of vinyl, we can discover more and more music pressed on vinyl, exactly how it should be heard!
