Winter Park jazz venue, Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts has left the building

Winter Park non-profit performance venue, Blue Bamboo Center For The Arts has take its final bow at its home on Kentucky Avenue citing rising rent for the decision to move.

Popular jazz venue, Blue Bamboo Center For The Arts has presented their last show in their Winter Park home on Kentucky Ave, when Suzy Park took to the stage on Saturday, December 23.

The venue has hosted more than 1,500 jazz shows since opening in 2015, but has been forced to move due to rising rent.

The good news is that the venue has already found a new home just three miles away in the Packing District, at 2586 N. Orange Blossom Trail, with plans to reopen in the new location in spring/summer of 2024.

Blue Bamboo say that some renovation will be necessary to convert the space, and hope to announce reopening plans soon.

While under construction, Blue Bamboo are planning shows at the Winter Park Library, Casa Feliz, Crealde School of Art, and the Winter Park Women’s Club.
