The quaint plant based Market on South in the Milk District is getting a new lease of life as Main House Market moves in!

Following a months-long run in with the City of Winter Garden, vegan food hall and market Main House Market Beer, Wine, and Kombucha Bar is moving to the former Market on South at 2603 E. South Street in the Milk District.
Market on South has been empty since Dharma Southern Kitchen and more recently, Valhalla Bakery vacated the building in search of pastures new at the near 100 year old Fort Pitt building at 5565 Old Cheney Highway,
Plant based co-op Main Street Market closed their Winter Garden location on Saturday, May 27, as they prepare to move to Orlando.

Main House Market's Brandon Wood explained on Instagram why he is relocating the business, 'In February, the City of Winter Garden along with the WG Police Department contacted the Orlando Police Department, specifically detectives with the human trafficking division to investigate the business for having Burlesque events. Individuals from the department came into the establishment as customers undercover prior to the event and as guests during the event. Afterwards I was told that I am never allowed to do Burlesque again for it is illegal in Orange County, a law that I was unfamiliar with." Brandon continued, "A week later the City of Winter Garden handed us violations claiming we need a separate business tax license, different from the three that I currently have for the location, to conduct free events inside my business. A violation that other businesses in the city have not recieved for doing their own free public events inside their location."
Following the run-ins with the City of Winter Garden, Brandon decided to find a new location outside of Winter Garden,
Brandon explained, "I believe in an all-inclusive, safe, artistic space where we can grow and express ourselves as a business - a business that promotes communal growth and nurtures self expression."
Brandon set up a Go Fund Me page to help with the moving expenses, and up until today, Wednesday, June 7, the page has raised $3,690 out of a $10,000 target.
Main House Market has not revealed a date for opening at the new location, we will let you know as soon as we know!
