The Early Otter will serve a selection of iced and hot coffee beverages.

Wekiva Island is known as the spot for a cold beverage on a hot day or a great bite while attending a fun event. Now the Seminole County attraction is fueling even more people who want to enjoy its tranquil and natural beauty.
Wekiva Island is debuting The Early Otter, a coffee concept that will give early adventurers a jolt and workers a space to connect.
The Early Otter is now open inside the Island’s Tooting Otter/General Store space. The café serves up a classic menu of iced and hot espresso drinks for purchase. Like the Island, the concept offers a conscious footprint, serving with no plastic that can pollute the river.
Also like the Island, the Early Otter focuses on connection. The space offers plugs and WIFI so guests can gather, work, have a meeting or simply fuel up before hitting the river.
“This is something our guests have been asking for for a long time,” said Carrie Vanderhoef, manager. “We want to help our guests have the perfect day no matter when they start, and this expanded offering will help us do that.”
The Early Otter will be open and serving during Wekiva Island’s normal hours. Wekiva Island is located at 1014 Miami Springs Dr. in Longwood.
