Cool news from Walt Disney World as the resort has announced that both water parks will be open for guests throughout the summer months.

Walt Disney World has two amazing water parks, Disney's Blizzard Beach, and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, and guests to the resort can look forward to both water parks being open this summer.
As previously announced, Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently closed for a seasonal refurbishment, and is set to reopen on February 15 when Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will close for its seasonal refurbishment.
Up until now we did not know a reopening date, but we do now, with Walt Disney World announcing that Typhoon Lagoon will reopen on May 12, remaining open simultaneously with Blizzard Beach, through until at least September 8.

In addition to both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach operating simultaneously throughout Summer, Walt Disney World has already revealed that the free water park entry perk for guests staying at select resort hotels would return this summer.
Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel between May 26 and September 8, 2026, can enjoy free admission to one of the Walt Disney World water parks on their check-in day, and with both water parks open throughout this time, guests can choose which water park to visit.
