Originally established in 2003, the beloved Dr. Phillips staple has been fully renovated and reimagined.

Vines by H is now open, introducing a refined new chapter for one of Restaurant Row’s most celebrated dining addresses, formerly known as Vines Grille & Wine Bar. After a complete renovation, the restaurant brings together modern American cuisine with subtle Mediterranean and European influences, complemented by a thoughtfully curated wine program, cigar lounge and live entertainment, offering a rare dinner experience that is both sophisticated and welcoming.
Originally established in 2003, Vines has long been a beloved staple in the area’s dining scene. The name remains as a nod to its roots, while the restaurant enters a new era under The H Hospitality Group, the acclaimed team behind The H Orlando, the Mediterranean steakhouse known for its elevated service and culinary precision. Guided by a deep respect for what made Vines a local favorite, the group has fully renovated the space, elevating every touchpoint from design to dish presentation while preserving the core elements guests have always loved, including live jazz music, an approachable menu, and the restaurant’s signature warmth.

“Vines by H is about creating a space where great food, wine and atmosphere come together effortlessly,” said Fuat Hasoglu, co-founder of The H Hospitality Group. “When we stepped in, it was important to us to honor what longtime guests have always loved about Vines while carrying that legacy forward. With live jazz every night, we wanted to create a high-energy experience, where guests can enjoy great cuisine, exceptional wine, and timeless music in one welcoming setting.”
The menu builds on the modern American foundation Vines is known for, complemented by refined European influences and a focus on high quality ingredients and precise technique. Under Executive Chef Omer Yildiz, formerly executive sous chef at The H Orlando with experience in MICHELIN-recognized restaurants in Turkey, the kitchen balances familiar flavors with subtle refinement and polished presentation for food that feels elevated but familiar.

Dinner at Vines by H begins with a selection of enticing starters such as the refreshing Sea Bass Ceviche with lime and jalapeño, Crispy Calamari with tartar and harissa sauces, Blue Crab Fingers with a spicy Cajun sauce for dipping, and tender Lamb Lollipops served with potato salad, pickled cucumbers and gremolata. Crisp salads and warm flatbreads bring more early course options, including a classic Margherita Flatbread and a hearty Philly Cheese Steak Flatbread, along with a Mediterranean classic, the Greek Salad, and the creamy, locally made Burrata with heirloom cherry tomatoes, celery pesto, arugula and roasted figs.

Pastas are made from scratch daily using the highest quality ingredients, with close attention paid to texture and depth of flavor. Dishes such as Linguini Bolognese and Tuscan Shrimp Rigatoni showcase that craft, while the grill draws on the steakhouse expertise of sister restaurant The H Orlando with selections including Chilean Sea Bass, a refined take on Bavarian Schnitzel and exquisitely grilled, premium cuts of Filet Mignon, the 14-ounce Ribeye andNew York Strip with a choice of house-made sauces. To finish, desserts lean comforting and classic, from crackly-topped Crème Brûlée with lemon crumble and raspberries to decadent Vines Chocolate Cake served à la mode warm with French vanilla ice cream and house-made cherry sauce.

Matching the polish and careful curation of the food menu, beverages play a significant role in the Vines by H experience. The extensive wine list draws from respected Old World regions and standout domestic producers, with every bottle expertly chosen for its perfect pairing opportunities. The cocktail program balances timeless classics with house signatures, from a French 75 to the Vines Carajillo, and offers a selection of mocktails, such as the Lavender Mojito. A daily happy hour rounds out the experience, featuring select wines by the glass, beer, and $10 classic cocktails, complemented by a selection of the restaurant’s starters and flatbreads.
The 7,800 square foot restaurant has undergone a complete transformation since closing in August 2025, intentionally reimagined to enhance flow while honoring the welcoming atmosphere guests have long associated with Vines. Distinct areas were refined for dining, socializing, and enjoying the dedicated cigar lounge, allowing the space to feel refreshed yet familiar. Warm, layered lighting casts a soft glow across the dining room, complemented by curved banquettes, textured fabrics, and natural materials such as stone, wood, and leather that add depth and comfort. A palette of deep charcoals, warm neutrals, and subtle gold accents lends the space a timeless European feel. Vines by H seats 160 guests indoors, including a spacious bar with 16 seats and additional high top tables, with the lush garden patio extending the experience outdoors to 50 seats. Private dining is available in two dedicated rooms, including the Cypress Room for up to 46 guests and the Arnold Palmer Room for up to 20, offering flexible options for celebrations, business dinners, and special occasions.

Designed to feel both stylish and welcoming, Vines by H is equally suited for locals and visitors, whether gathering for dinner with family, meeting friends for live jazz and cocktails, or ending the night with a glass of wine or a cigar in the lounge.
