Comcast Corp exceeded predictions for quarterly revenue on Thursday, helped by higher theme park attendance and the successful theatrical releases of The Super Mario Bros Movie and Fast X, sending its shares up nearly 6%.

Total revenue rose 1.7% to $30.51 billion in the quarter, beating analysts' average estimate of $30.13 billion, according to Refinitiv data.

Following the release of the Q4 earnings, Comcast shares rose to $45.41 in early trading.

Theme parks revenue which includes Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood continues to perform well, with revenue climbing a huge 22.4%, which according to Comcast was mainly driven by demand for the new Super Nintendo World in Hollywood and Osaka, Japan.

For the full fiscal year, the theme parks generated $7.5 billion in revenue, a spectacular 49.3% increase over the prior year.
