Two Orlando Restaurants named among Best New Restaurants in the U.S.

In the latest USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, two popular Orlando restaurants have been named in a loist of the top 20 new restaurants in the country.

According to the National Restaurant Association, It's estimated that there are more than 1 million restaurants in the United States, with hundreds of new restaurants opening each year, and two Orlando restaurants have been named being named in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice 2024 list for Best New Restaurants in the U.S.


USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice asked a panel of food and travel experts to nominate their 20 favorite new restaurants to open in the past year, ranging from chef-driven fast casual concepts to high-end dining with a focus on hyper-local and sustainable ingredients, and now USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice wants you to decide the best of the top 20!


 Otto's High Dive in Orlando

Among the list of 20 nationwide restaurants, the experts have choosen 2 local Orlando restaurants. First up is Otto's High Dive located at 2304 E Robinson St, Orlando.


At Otto's High Dive in Orlando, you've got a bar, cafe, and eatery all in one. This Cuban restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin and features Floridian and Cuban cuisine with tropical influences. Step in for lechon asado (roasted pork) or ropa vieja (braised short rib), and make sure to show up early for their weekday happy hours, where you can knock down Cuba Libre highballs, classic mojitos, or other well-mixed libations.

Zaru is a Japanese noodle house set in Orlando's artsy and trendy Mills 50 District

Zaru is a Japanese noodle house set in Orlando's artsy and trendy Mills 50 District at 1114 E Colonial Dr, Orlando. James Beard nominees and local restaurateurs Johnny and Jimmy Tung are the guys behind Zaru, where you can slurp traditional sanuki-style udon to your appetite's delight. The hot and cold noodles are made with flour from Kagawa, Japan, the birthplace of udon, and add-ons like onsen egg and shrimp tempura enhance Orlando's latest dining hot spot.
