A much loved holiday tradition here in Orlando is the Annual Festival of Trees which takes place every holiday season at The Orlando Museum of Art in Downtown Orlando.
This years event is the 36th year, and the beautiful Holiday Tree's will shine bright from November 11 - 20, 2022.
As part of the Festival Of Trees, organisers Council of 101 have organised an Ugly Sweater Day!
Tis the season to wear your ugly sweater as you spread holiday cheer and embrace your tacky side on Saturday, November 19 by joining family and friends at the Orlando Museum of Art #FestivaloftheTreesOrlando for the Ugly Sweater Fun Day & Red Carpet Contest.
Get your friends and followers in the holiday spirit and post your pics to social media using #FestivaloftheTreesOrlando.
The uglier the sweater the better! Trim your yuletide masterpiece with tinsel, bows, jingle bells, and other festive accessories.
Here are three fun ways you can participate and be eligible to win prizes:
1. Take a group selfie with your family and friends at the museum and send it to 101uglysweater@gmail.com on Saturday, Nov.19 between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Most Holiday Spirit
Most Creative
Best Group Theme
Most All Around Ugly
To enter the contest, you must have purchased a ticket to the Festival of Trees.
Winners will be selected at 4 p.m. and must be present to win.
2. Take home a free Ugly Sweater digital portrait session provided by a photographer on Saturday, November 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
3. Strut your ugly sweaters down the red carpet for a chance to win a variety of prizes.
A special cast of jolly judges will be present to pick the winners for the selfies sent in and those who are present at the event.
Presented by the Council of 101, and sponsored by Orlando Health, Orlando's Festival Of Trees is a beloved local tradition here in Orlando where guests stroll through the museum, with a feeling of being transported back to a time of old-fashioned holiday gatherings.
This year's theme is Gifts Of The Season, celebrating the gifts of time, talent, and heart from the Central Florida community.

Visitors will view over 50 designer-inspired decorated trees, stylish holiday wreaths, exceptional gingerbread houses, entertaining and design concepts and more, all available for purchase.
Enjoy holiday shopping experiences, holiday pop-up shops, daily entertainmentand have lunch in the on-site café.
“The Festival of Trees not only brings holiday spirit and joy to the community but also ultimately supports the arts and art education at OMA,” said Linda Cegelis, president of Council of 101. “So, to bring timeless elegance and holiday tradition while supporting the arts is truly a joy for the Council of 101.”
Events complimenting the festivities include an opening night black-tie optional gala and tree lighting, Breakfast with Santa, a children’s Reindeer Romp Party and the special family weekend focus highlighting an ugly sweater red carpet walk and competition.
Festival of Trees is one of the events, created and executed by Council of 101, that makes it possible for the organization to donate more than $13 million since the organization’s inception, in 1965.
Funds contributed by Council of 101 focus on the corporate lease art acquisitions and educational programs at the Orlando Museum of Art as outreach to the Central Florida community.
