The Griddle Is Set - White Castle to open Daytona Beach restaurant on September 22

White Castle is opening it's fourth freestanding Central Florida Castle, bringing more than 60 new jobs to Volusia County.

The towers are in place and the date is set. White Castle, home of The Original Slider and America’s first fast-food hamburger chain, has announced that its Daytona Beach Castle will open on Tuesday, September 22, with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. and a full day of first-day Craver festivities to follow. In a city that has been welcoming visitors for more than a century, the countdown to the first Slider is officially on.

The opening marks the brand’s fourth freestanding Central Florida Castle and the newest chapter in a Florida expansion that has been building since 2021.

Located at 1944 LPGA Boulevard, just west of the I-95 interchange, the 3,430-square-foot Daytona Beach Castle will feature indoor and outdoor seating, two drive-through lanes, and an iconic tower design with a sleek, modern industrial flair. In place of traditional drive-through windows, hospitality doors will let team members step outside and hand orders directly to customers in their cars -- a hallmark of the modern Castle, and a small, deliberate touch that keeps the handoff face to face.

“You could say this Castle has been 105 years in the making, and Daytona Beach is exactly the right place to bring it,” said White Castle CEO Lisa Ingram, a fourth-generation family member. “Every Castle we build is meant to become part of the neighborhood around it, a place people come back to for years. Our mission is to create memorable moments every day, and we cannot wait to start making them here.”

The Daytona Beach Castle will bring more than 60 new jobs to Volusia County, continuing White Castle’s commitment to investing in communities where it does business and cultivating talent from within. The restaurant will be led by General Manager Kenneth Espinal, a dedicated team member of the White Castle family since 2021.

Community leaders welcomed the investment and the boost it brings to the LPGA Boulevard corridor.

The Daytona Beach Castle joins the Orlando flagship, the largest White Castle in the world and the site of the brand’s celebrated 2021 return to the Sunshine State; the Clermont Castle, which opened in 2025; and the Kissimmee Castle, which opened in May 2026 to enthusiastic Craver response. A fifth Florida Castle is planned for St. Augustine.

The Daytona Beach Castle will serve the classic lineup of Sliders and sides, including the Crave Case, a 30-Slider haul built for family gatherings, beach days and everything in between. Operating hours will be 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Guests can dine in, take out, or pull through the drive-through.

Until then, there is one thing left to do: count it down. Just 13 days until the towers light up on LPGA Boulevard -- and the first hot, tasty Slider comes off the griddle.
