The Grand Bohemian introduces New Menu Offerings celebrating Five-Year Partnership with Black Bee Honey

Black Bee Honey is a student entrepreneurship program founded by the youth in Parramore Kidz Zone.

This week, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer joined District 5 Interim City Commissioner Shaniqua “Shan” Rose and student entrepreneurs for the "Bee Part of the Celebration," an event to mark Black Bee Honey’s continued partnership with The Grand Bohemian, located at 325 S Orange Ave,in downtown Orlando.
The event marked five years since the introduction of the renowned Black Bee Honey Orange Blossom Cheesecake with honeycomb waffle crisp at The Boheme restaurant, which has supported local youth through the Parramore and Holden Heights Kidz Zones.
Executive Chef Miguel Toro will continue this tradition with the introduction of an expanded test menu with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients, like Black Bee Honey.

Summer Watermelon Salad
Goat Cheese Croquettes
Pork Belly Sliders
Bees Knees Signature Cocktail

Purchases from the new menu will help benefit Orlando Kidz Zones and support student entrepreneurs through scholarships.

Black Bee Honey is a youth entrepreneur program where students learn both business and beekeeping skills to make, bottle and sell honey in the Parramore neighborhood and beyond. This event furthers the city’s commitment to nurturing young entrepreneurs by providing opportunities grow valuable skills through collaborations with local businesses.

Founded in 2017, Black Bee Honey is a youth entrepreneurship program operated by the Orlando Community and Youth Trust, a non-profit organization.
Students from the Parramore and Holden Heights communities in Orlando, Florida are working to turn their communities from food deserts to food oases.
Through nutritious honey they provide their community with access to food with health benefits that also serves as a great substitute to sugar.
