Bluegrass in the Park returns to Fort Christmas Historical Park in Christmas

The popular Fort Christmas Bluegrass Festival returns this weekend on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:45 am - 4 pm at Fort Christmas Historical Park,1300 Fort Christmas Rd., Christmas.


This annual free event hosted by the Fort Christmas Historical Society is an opportunity for music lovers to enjoy an unforgettable outdoor experience, with the cherished annual festival offering a vibrant weekend brimming with three local bluegrass groups, engaging children’s activities, delectable food offerings, and enriching folklife exhibits—all at no cost!


Bluegrass in the Park has consistently captivated attendees and critics alike, and is a local tradition that continues to resonate with music lovers and families year after year.



Here’s the show schedule and line up of talented performers:

9:45 a.m. Welcome, National Anthem and Boy Scouts present Flags

10 a.m. Sandy Back Porch

11 a.m. Crimson Creek & Canada Bros

12 p.m. Penny Creek Bluegrass Band

1 p.m. Sandy Back Porch

2 p.m. Crimson Creek & Canada Bros

2:50 p.m. BBQ and Bake Awards

3:10 p.m. Penny Creek Bluegrass Band

3:50 p.m. Closing remarks by emcee Steve Kane



Fort Christmas Historical Park includes a replica of a fort built in 1837 during the Second Seminole Indian War; a traditional Florida "Cracker" house and eight pioneer homes; a schoolhouse and lunchroom; a sugar cane mill and other historical farming equipment.


The historic homes, school and fort are open daily, 9 am - 4 pm, including holidays.
