The City of Maitland is hosting a Touch-A-Truck Event with lots of really big and unique trucks!

Maitland's public works, police and fire departments will team up for a touch-a-truck event from 9 am to 1 pm on Sunday, May 18, in Independence Square with lots of really big and unique trucks, heavy equipment, and emergency vehicles.

Bring the kids for a fun, up-close look at the machines that make the city work. Learn how the Public Works Department manages everything from public utilities and stormwater cleanup to grounds maintenance and more.

Enjoy bounce houses, games and prizes, live music, food and more.

This event will coincide with Maitland's weekly Farmer's Market on Independence Lane, and best of all, admission is free!

Highlights include The Maitland Police Department, who will join the city's big Touch a Truck event on Independence Lane. Check out the police command center, patrol vehicle and marine patrol unit.

Plus, get an up-close look at the Public Works Department machines that make the city work. Climb into a dump truck, explore a street sweeper, backhoe, airboat and bucket truck.
