In honor of Orlando’s 150th anniversary, the Orange County Regional History Center offers a glimpse into some of the most fascinating and rarely seen items from the city’s history with our newest special exhibition, Orlando Collected.

Dawoud Bey’s Evergreen depicts haunting images captured at the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. Installed across three video channels, the work scans the grounds of the most intact plantation complex still standing in the United States. The work captures swaths of trees and the remnants of living quarters of the historically enslaved Black people.

Jason Chin (American, born 1978) has written and illustrated award winning children’s books, including Redwoods, Grand Canyon, and Your Place in the Universe. His paintings in Watercress, alongside storytelling by Andrea Wang, garnered a 2022 Caldecott Medal. With a love for scientific wonders, he has illuminated the mysteries of coral reefs, redwood trees, the Galápagos Islands, gravity, and the elemental particles that make us who we are.

Experience Contemporary (Myth and Storytelling) is a group exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and printed materials, featuring four contemporary Florida artists, curated by Justin Luper. The exhibit is on display at Casselberry Arts Center.

Orlando’s immersive vampire theatrical experience is back for a thrilling heart-pacing firth year at The Renaissance Theatre! Loosely inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula and other classic vampire lore, Nosferatu is where the vampires roam. Enter a place where the rules of space and time do not exist; where a Choosing Ceremony decides the newest member of the Coven; and where the Undead roam looking for their next seduction. Enter the Ren near downtown Orlando, then free roam through an unusual series of rooms where bloodthirsty performance artists lure you deeper into the story. Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights is the home of horror with the biggest names in the genre. Endure 10 haunted houses, scare zones and more. SeaWorld’s Spooktacular is back with fun surprises, candy, costumes and more! Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream returns in full force, taking over the entire park with haunted houses, scare zones, sinister shows and more. This years after-hours event features more than 25 terrifying experiences including 2 NEW haunted houses, 3 NEW sinister scare zones, ghoulish shows and unrelenting park-wide horrors. This is Tampa Bay’s most frightening adult Halloween event.

Orlando’s most terrifying Halloween event is back and more bone-chilling than ever. Now in its 5th year, Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando unleashes a new wave of screams with unexpected horrors lurking around every corner. This separately ticketed event is built for the brave, featuring spine-tingling scare zones, menacing haunted houses, and heart-pounding thrill rides in the dark.

Take in spooky sights and Halloween delights at Magic Kingdom park—select nights from August 15 to October 31, 2025. New this year: Meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse together at Town Square Theater. Before women’s soccer captured the world’s attention, the 17 athletes of the first U.S. Women’s National Team helped lay the foundation for the global success the sport enjoys today. Through striking portraits by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Randy Bacon, The 85’ers captures the authenticity, strength, and tenacity of these groundbreaking athletes. This pocket exhibit also highlights the team’s meaningful connections to Central Florida. While the team’s popularity has grown nationwide, the athletes’ numerous ties to the local community make their achievements even more special for fans in the Orlando area.

At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Kandy's Sweetacular Celebration takes place during regular park hours, and is included with park entry on Saturdays and Sundays from September 7 to November 3. Celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating, costume parades and more during this family-friendly event.

Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health, celebrates its 20th anniversary with a record 160+ participating restaurants during this year’s program, running from Aug. 15 through Sept. 30. This milestone year includes 26 new additions and 15 MICHELIN Guide-recognized restaurants, each offering three-course, prix-fixe menus priced at $40 or $60, plus tax and gratuity.
Continuing its tradition of giving back, a portion of every meal sold will benefit the REED Charitable Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development and literacy.

The pool symbolizes luxury and leisure in America, and it has been captivating artists since the 1950s with bright sunlight, vibrant colors, and modernist architecture. The exhibition features artists who emerged in the mid-20th century, yet their themes of pool culture, class, and leisure remain strikingly contemporary. This is further emphasized by the younger generation of artists reclaiming the narrative of the pool in relationship to family, like Amy Bennett and Isca Greenfield-Sanders, and within more social, environmental, and civic contexts, such as Derrick Adams, Anastasia Samoylova, Jay Lynn Gomez. These themes, so relevant to our lives today, will engage and connect with visitors at Mennello Museum of American Art.

This family-friendly event takes place on select nights throughout the summer from May 23rd to September 13th. That’s right, your summer nights are about to get that much brighter. Your quintessential party host each night will be Partysaurus Rex and this time he’s bringing along some of his Toy Story friends to help ensure everyone has a night to remember. Each night is a chance to dance the night away in your most colorful glow-in-the-dark style and enjoy amazing complimentary snacks (think Mickey bars, popcorn and select beverages).
