Though they were once replaced by digital formats, and despite the popularity of music streaming services, in the last few years, vinyl records have made a major comeback, although to many the format never went away.

Vinyl truly is the format that has refused to die, and whether its a nostalgia thing, or that the younger generation have discovered that vinyl is cool, there is no denying that the format has seen a resurgence in popularity, and here in Orlando we have an eclectic mix of record stores including Florida's oldest record store.

Over the past decade, vinyl records have made a major comeback. People purchased $1.2 billion of records in 2022, a 20% jump from the previous year.

Not only did sales rise, but they also surpassed CD sales for the first time since 1988, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

Brynx deal in gently used vinyl, collectible books, as well as music and counterculture ephemera, while also serving up specialty coffee, wine, beer, and light eats in theirr café.

East West Records

East West Records is a funky, independent shop offering a variety of new & used records, CDs & DVDs, plus special orders.

East West Records was established in 1971, making it the oldest record store in the state of Florida. Any native to Orlando knows East West as the first go to spot for music.

The original owners, Hanna and Roman, are well known in the community for their music knowledge and great personality's and although the ownership has changed, Hanna and Roman visit often to see customers and hang out. East West Records, has and will always, be here to help customers discover new music or take a blast to the past.

Park Ave CDs

Park Ave CDs was established in 1984, serving and supporting the Central Florida music community for over 35 years.

An audio dealership in all formats, they stock new and used CDs and LPs in addition to DVDs, books, magazines, turntables, replacement needles, vinyl accessories, t-shirts, posters, specialty sodas, toys, Japanese candies, buttons, stickers, greeting cards and unique gift items you won't find anywhere else in town!

They also sell concert tickets for all the shows at The Social and The Beacham and select shows at House of Blues, Soundbar and Will's Pub with NO ONLINE SERVICE FEES!
