The 2023 Space Race 3K returns to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in January

Get ready to enter the space race as the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Space Race 3K Walk/Run returns to the Brevard attraction on January 20, 2023.

The Space Race is back in 2023 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex!

The Kennedy Space Center here in Central Florida has been home to this countries space program for over 60 years. and now you can be part of history, as you run, or walk your way through Kennedy Space Center.

Benefiting United Way of Brevard, the Space Race is a 3K course throughout the visitor complex and registration is now open!

Run or walk throughout the 1.86 mile course on January 20, 2023, and enjoy spectacular views of the historic Rocket Garden, the awe-inspiring full-sized booster stack at the entrance of Space Shuttle Atlantis and the stunning Mercury 7 mural on the Heroes & Legends building featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.

After the completion of the space race, celebrate your accomplishment with family, friends and fellow participants at the after party in the Rocket Garden.

Timing and scoring is chip-determined by the Running Zone, with the top men and women scored by age groups.

Winners in each category of the race will receive their award from an actual NASA astronaut.

Registration for the Space Race 3K is now open and costs from $35 for adults and from $20 for children 12 and under.

Entry fee for this evening event includes a race T-shirt, complimentary parking after 5 p.m., and a beer or wine at the after party.

Non runners can join the family-friendly event with a suggested donation of $5.

The registration costs will increase the closer to the event you register, so best to register now.

Plus, if you can't make it to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for the actual race, you can join the virtual race, and receive the Space Race t-shirt.
