Sushi Champions Announced for Morimoto Asia’s Inaugural Sushi Showdown at Disney Springs
On September 21, Morimoto Asia transformed into Orlando's ultimate sushi stage as the city's most talented sushi chefs went head-to-head in the inaugural Sushi Showdown.
On September 21, Morimoto Asia kicked off their first Sushi Showdown event, where five local chefs went head-to-head to create the best sushi dishes in Orlando.
In this sold out event, local guests selected a Fan Favorite dish by voting with a gold coin while an exclusive panel of judges selected a Judge’s Choice winner based on taste, freshness and overall cohesiveness. Here are the results from the competition:

At the end of the night, the event raised over $11,000 for Give Kids the World during their live auction, where all proceeds go towards providing cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families.
Orlando now has its first sushi champions!
The one-night-only culinary competition invited guests to sample exclusive signature sushi creations crafted with premium rice and the freshest ingredients before casting their vote for the dish worthy of being crowned Orlando's first sushi champion. Judged on taste, freshness and overall cohesiveness, every bite counts.
Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed live entertainment, voted for their favorite chef using a gold coin and participated in an exciting live auction benefiting Give Kids The World, with 100% of auction proceeds supporting the nonprofit's mission of creating unforgettable vacations for critically ill children and their families.
