Sunshine Foundation to Host 1st Annual Golf Tournament at Orange Lake Resort

Join Sunshine Foundation’s First Annual Golf Tournament at Orange Lake Resort for a morning of charity and fun playing golf.
The Sunshine Foundation Dream Village is set to host its 1st Annual Golf Tournament, taking place on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the beautiful Orange Lake Resort Legends Course in Kissimmee.
This exciting event will bring together golf enthusiasts, community supporters, and corporate sponsors for a day of fun, philanthropy, and unforgettable moments all in support of making dreams come true for children living with lifelong chronic illnesses and conditions, or trauma from abuse.
The highlight of the tournament will be a very special Dream Come True Presentation honoring William, a local child whose life has been impacted by Seizure Disorder. During the event, William will be surprised with the announcement that his dream is coming true, thanks to the generous support of our community and donors.
Sunshine Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to answering dreams for children with life-long chronic conditions such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, profound Level 3 severe autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and others. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, the Foundation has been able to spread sunshine and create magical experiences for thousands of children and their families since 1976.
To make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to help keep the Dream Village a peaceful and relaxing escape from reality for the children and their families that stay there while on their Magical Dream Trips provided by the Sunshine Foundation.
The most popular dream request is for a family trip to Orlando to visit LEGOLAND Florida, Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, Kennedy Space Center, and the Florida coast beaches. Families stay at the Foundation’s 22-acre Dream Village in Davenport, FL, an enchanted accommodation for underrepresented children with disabilities less than 15 miles from Disney World. Since opening in 1990, more than 21,000 children have enjoyed the Dream Village which includes 9 fairy-tale themed cottages, a heated zero-entry swimming pool, handicap accessible playground and a miniature golf course.
Since 1976, Sunshine Foundation has spread Sunshine into the lives of more than 43,280 children throughout the United States. Proud to be the Top-Rated Wish-Granting Organization in America with a perfect 100% score on Charity Navigator and “A” Rated on CharityWatch!
