Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens are celebrating summer with the return of the popular Sunset At The Zoo.
Sunset at the Zoo returns to Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens this Friday, July 28.
Sunset at the Zoo takes place on the fourth Friday of every month from May to September, with the zoo opening at 5 pm, with lots of fun until the sun goes down, including music, inflatable games and of course the chance to see some favorite animals after the heat of the day.
Sunset at the Zoo allows friends and families to enjoy some extra-hours fun—but with an added twist as this years event will be celebrating the connections that inspire people to take action for wildlife, while also forging connections with different cultures in our communities.
Each month’s event will celebrate a culture, complete with activities, food and educational opportunities.
This Friday's event celebrates Black & African American culture and heritage!
Orlando Tech and Black Health Commission will be in attendance, plus Food Trucks, Brothers-N-Arms BBQ, and Fully Loaded & Ice Cream Sammies.
There will be live reggae provided by Cacique, leader of Shamanic Rootz, plus DJ Darren spinning your favorite tunes.
Plus, enjoy themed crafts and family activities recognizing the achievements of Black professionals
“The Zoo is a place for the community, and we want it to feel welcoming to all communities and cultures,” said Richard E. Glover, Jr., the Zoo’s CEO. “We’re very excited to roll out this newly imagined version of our favorite summer event and look forward to celebrating with our patrons.”
Last admission for each event is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 per person when purchased online and $8 per person at the gate.
