Sculptor, Alex Heveri's Glass & Steel Sculpture Exhibit, Glass in Flight 2 flies into Leu Gardens this February

Experience an amazing outdoor sculpture exhibit of larger-than-life flying insects hand-crafted into 28 works of art with Dalle de Verre glass and steel.

Created by national known sculptor, Alex Heveri, each piece captures the essence of flight. 

Glass in Flight 2 takes place at Orlando's Leu Gardens from February 3 – May 5, 2024.

Sunlight through the colored glass mimics the transparency and iridescence of insect wings, intensifying the illusion of movement and life. The exhibit weaves together the beauty of art with the science of nature. Included with general admission.

Glass in Flight II is a major traveling art and science exhibit featuring steel and Dalle de Verre glass sculptures of gigantic, realistic insects, birds and butterflies. Created by nationally known sculptor, Alex Heveri, Glass in Flight II is the sequel to the successful Glass in Flight exhibit now touring major gardens and zoos around the country!

Discover 16 life-like installations in a sculpture exhibit that showcases the beauty and importance of butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators.

See the iridescent exoskeletons and translucent wings of giant insects, made of steel frames and Dalle de Verre glass, and witness the interaction of sunlight and colored glass alongside the garden’s plant collection.
