Romeo + Juliet Film in Concert brings a live band performing alongside the film to Orlando
A timeless love story meets a live concert event! Romeo + Juliet Film in Concert brings Baz Luhrmann’s beloved adaptation to Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Baz Luhrmann’s iconic 1996 film with Romeo + Juliet Film in Concert, a live cinematic concert experience featuring a big-screen presentation of the film, elevated with live music, atmospheric lighting and immersive concert stage production.
As the film plays on screen, a 12-piece hybrid ensemble performs the soundtrack and score live in sync with the action, animating the vibrant world of Verona Beach.
More than a traditional night at the movies, the production brings the film’s romance, chaos and emotional intensity off the screen and into the splendor of Steinmetz Hall at Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, March 7, 2026.

Originally released on November 1, 1996, and opening atop the U.S. box office, Romeo + Juliet became one of Luhrmann's signature works, transforming Shakespeare's tragedy into a maximal, MTV-era pop opera.
