Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster reopens early following extended refurbishment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has reopened ahead of schedule following an extended refurbishment, and despite many rumours, the ride has received no major changes to the theming.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed back in late February for an extended period of refurbishment, at the time no details of the refurb was announced, and although no reopening date was revealed, the coaster was not expected to reopen until July.


With the refurbishment completed ahead of schedule, Walt Disney World reopened the coaster yesterday just in time for the Memorial Day Weekend crowds!


The ride did close earlier than the park at around 8.15 pm, and with Disney not announcing the reopening yet, we can expect the ride will be in soft opening for at least a few more days.


So is there any change to the coaster?


The retime has concentrated on general maintenance, and track improvements, there is NO changes to the theming of Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster, the attraction still features Aerosmith despite the rumors that Queen oranother band or theme might replace them.


So despite the multi year rumours that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was set to be rethemed, and frontman Steven Tyler sued for sexual assault, Tyler and Aerosmith lives to see another day, this refurbishment at least...
