A brand new "virtual" budget carrier Red Way is scheduled to debut on June 8, 2023, operating from its home base at Lincoln Airport, a public/military airport five miles northwest of downtown Lincoln, the state capital, in Lancaster County, Nebraska.
Red Way will begin by operating charter-by-the-seat flights to Orlando International Airport and Las Vegas Harry Reid Airport, with five more routes to "popular vacation spots" around the country to follow within weeks.
The flights are being sold by Red Way, acting as the sales agent on behalf of public charter operator GlobalX Air Tours while GlobalX will be the carrier, using GlobalX Airbus A320s.
The Orlando route will initially be a seasonal flight flown twice weekly, later increasing to three times weekly in the summer.
Red Way are hoping that the popularity of the Orlando flight will lead to the route being operated year-round.
Orlando flights are currently being advertised on Red Way's website for $89.00 one way.
