Record Store Day 2024 spins into Orlando, Sat. 20/4 with Exclusive Releases & Events

Record Store Day is an annual event to celebrate the culture of independently owned record stores, and here in Orlando there is special events, and releases to celebrate.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently-owned record stores in the US, with the first Record Store Day taking place on April 19, 2008.

Today, Record Store Day is celebrated at independently-owned brick-and-mortar record stores around the world, a day that brings together fans, artists, and the thousands of independent record store.

To celebrate the day, a number of records are pressed specifically for Record Store Day, and are only distributed to shops participating in the event.

This year's record Store Day is on Saturday, April 20, and here in Orlando we have several record stores that are thriving, and thanks to the resurgence of vinyl, we can discover more and more music pressed on vinyl, exactly how it should be heard!

On Saturday expect exclusive RSD albums, newly dropped releases, giveaways, DJ's and more.

Expect the stores to be very busy on Saturday, so plan on getting there early, especially if you want some of the exclusive Record Store Day LP's.

This year's Record Store Day 2024 exclusives due to hit indie stores on April 20 includes no less than 387 titles.

No Taylor Swift exclusive this year, but high-profile exclusives include albums from Weeknd, Paramore, Noah Kahan, Pearl Jam, Talking Heads, David Bowie and the Beatles.

Orlando Record Store Day Special Events 2024

Brynx

Brynx deal in gently used vinyl, collectible books, as well as music and counterculture ephemera, while also serving up specialty coffee, wine, beer, and light eats in their café.

In the back of their shop is a project recording studio – perfect for cutting your next single or full-length release.

On Record Store Day they will have lots of new vinyl and giveaways. Plus, if you sign up for their newsletter you’ll be automatically entered to win this package from Bynx! If you already have Nevermind in your collection, not to worry — you can choose any record from the store valued at $50!

East West Records

East West Records is a funky, independent shop offering a variety of new & used records, CDs & DVDs, plus special orders.

They are fully stocked for RSD, sharing a sneak peek at just some if the titles they will have in-store Saturday.

On RSD the store will open at 9 am. Make sure to get there early, as there is usually a line! It’s first come first serve!

Park Ave CDs

Park Ave CDs is an indie music retailer offering new & used CDs & LPs, plus a range of T-shirts & gifts.

Record Store Day will take place at Park Ave CDs from 8 am to 11 pm.

Park Ave CDs have released a RSD 2024 Menu for you to PRINT and FILL OUT.

Re-Runz Records

Re-Runz Records is a record store that sells new and used vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, and other related music memorabilia.

The store specialize in genres such as Soul, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Classic Rock and Hip-Hop. Although not a recognized Record Store Day location, they will have a 15% off sale on all records on RSD.

Remix Record Shop

Remix Record Shop is an independent record shop with two locations.

Smartpunk Record Shop is going big for RSD!! Join them on Saturday for some exclusive Smartpunk merch, yummy treats and of course, the finest selection of records and RSD Exclusives! Open 10 am - 6 pm, with DJ, bands and more!

Record & Beer Store Day at Ten10 Brewing Company

1010 Virginia Dr, Orlando, FL 32803

Ten10 Brewing's Record & Beer Store Day Event at the B-Side will feature a special beer release in collaboration with NYC ska band, The Toasters! This hoppy 5.2% ABV session IPA celebrates 43 years of kicka$$ ska rattling out eardrums.

The can label even has a QR code featuring a playlist of Toaster songs. They will have a limited number of cans for sale starting at 12 pm, so get there early!

Also, Deally Stan will be along for the ride with a Vinyl Pop Up filled with records you won't find anywhere else. He'll also have some cool raffle prizes and autographed Toasters merch for the hardcore fans out there!
