The good folks at The City of Winter Park and Enzian Theater present the free monthly Popcorn Flicks in the Park movies series under the stars in Central Park.

Popcorn Flicks in the Park returns to Winter Park on Sept. 10 with Shrek 2

The Popcorn Flicks in the Park series features classic films for the whole family. These films are usually held on the second Thursday of each month in Central Park, Winter Park, witt the latest event happening this week, on Thursday, October 8. The best part is that every movie night is free and open to the public!

Are you ready for some spooky fun under the stars? Gather your little monsters for Monster House, the wildly imaginative animated adventure that proves Halloween thrills can be fun for the whole family. Produced by Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg, this fan-favorite blends laughs, heart, and just the right amount of kid-friendly frights into an unforgettable neighborhood mystery.

Just a small note of caution though folks, the outdoor screenings in Winter Park are dependent upon our famously unpredictable weather conditions. Organizers may wait until 30 minutes prior to the set screening time to officially post a cancellation notice; which will be posted on Enzian's Facebook.

You may also call Enzian’s Box Office at 407-629-1088 x230 for more information, and if your screening is rained out – keep an eye out for a rain date!

Monster House

Twelve-year-old DJ Walters (voice of Mitchel Musso) has decided there's something weird about old man Nebbercracker's (Steve Buscemi) house across the street. Things keep disappearing into the dilapidated structure: basketballs, toys and pets.

It's the day before Halloween and DJ and his pal Chowder (Sam Lerner) have a run-in with Mr. Nebbercracker after their basketball is mysteriously swept into the house. When the house tries to swallow their new friend Jenny (Spencer Locke), they turn to Skull (Jon Heder), a twenty-something slacker pizza chef, who advises them that the house could be alive.

They come up with a plan to strike at its heart, the basement furnace. But their plan goes awry, and when the house chases them down the street, they must join forces to make the neighborhood safe for trick-or-treaters.

Grab the kids and a blanket, some snacks, and some friends, and have a night out with one of the most fun family Halloween films ever made!
