Guests planning to visit Walt Disney World in 2024 received great news today, as Disney revealed that they are removing the requirement for park pass reservations for select ticket types.
Walt Disney World have given much welcomed news today, with the end of the Park Pass Reservations system for standard ticket types.
Beginning January 9, 2024, date-based tickets will no longer require theme park reservations.
For guests who purchase tickets with a start date of January 9, 2024 or later, they will be good to go, no reservations required, simply visit the park they wish to visit!
This does not apply to open-dated tickets, including Annual Passholders and Cast Members who will see the addition of “good-to-go” dates in 2024 which will allow them to visit without a park pass reservation on certain dates.
Here is the official announcement from Disney:
Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. You heard that right! When getting your ticket, you will simply select a start date for Jan. 9, 2024 or later, complete your purchase and then you will be all set! For reference, date-based tickets are the standard ticket option we offer to guests. For other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required to help us continue managing attendance and delivering a great experience for everyone. You can check which admission types require park reservations by visiting DisneyWorld.com/ThemeParkReservations before you purchase.
