Oviedo Mall kicks off 2025 “Shop Small at Oviedo Mall” Campaign supporting local businesses this Holiday Season

Oviedo Mall is encouraging local residents to shop small for the 2025 holiday season, highlighting upcoming events and more.

Oviedo Mall is proud to announce the launch of its third annual“Shop Small at Oviedo Mall” , running now through Thursday, December 25, 2025. The initiative encourages residents and the surrounding community to support the more than 40 locally owned and operated small businesses that call Oviedo Mall home.

The campaign, inspired by the national Shop Small movement, aims to keep holiday spending local while showcasing the diversity of businesses within the mall. From boutique retailers and specialty shops to restaurants, artisans, and service providers, each offers a unique and personal shopping experience that can’t be found at big-box stores or online.

“This campaign is all about celebrating the people behind our small businesses,” said Josh Gunderson, Director of Marketing & Events for Oviedo Mall. “When you shop small, you’re supporting your neighbors, your community, and the local economy. We’re thrilled to provide opportunities that bring customers through the doors and help our businesses thrive during the most important retail season of the year.”

The Shop Small at Oviedo Mall campaign features a full calendar of events designed to make holiday shopping festive and fun for all ages:

Deck the Mall: Gingerbread Jamboree – Thursday, December 4 | 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

A beloved annual tradition returns! Families can enjoy a night of holiday cheer, activities, and

treats while exploring Oviedo Mall’s small businesses. Participating stores will host children’s

activity stations, adult tastings, and one-night-only sales and specials.

Enchanted Knights: Winter Bazaar – Saturday, December 6 | 11 AM – 6 PM

A magical winter shopping experience with themed vendors, live entertainment, and fun for the

whole family. Perfect for checking those last few names off the holiday shopping list.

Shop Oviedo Day – Saturday, December 20 | All Day

Now in its fifth year, Shop Oviedo Day was created to capture the energy of last-minute holiday

shopping while supporting local merchants. Shoppers can enjoy one-day-only deals and exclusive

holiday offers throughout the mall.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, consumers spent over $17 billion nationwide during Small Business Saturday 2023, and nearly 68 cents of every dollar spent locally stays within the community.

With more shoppers actively seeking local alternatives this year, Oviedo Mall’s small business owners are ready to meet that demand with one-of-a-kind gifts, warm service, and a festive in- person shopping experience.
