Walt Disney World have informed guests staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in the coming days that the resort will be impacted by overnight power outages.
Tthere will be two scheduled overnight power outages at the resort on Tuesday, December 13, into Wednesday, December 14, and Wednesday into Thursday, December 15, from 12 - 5 a.m.
The outages will affect all areas in Building 6 (Sugarloaf), including guest rooms, elevators, hallway lights, and stairwell lights
A limited number of backup power units will be available for Guests with medical equipment needs, and are requested to speak with Front Desk Cast Members for more information.
Building 7 (Conch Key) and Narcoossee’s will also be affected by these power outages, though these locations remain closed for refurbishment.
The power outage will not affect other operating buildings around the resort.
