FREE Art Festival Kicks off September 17 and the Celebration Continues with Orlando Mural Festival Art Party September 19.

Orlando Mural Festival brings Artists and Large-Scale Art to Downtown Orlando

Downtown Orlando is about to become an even bigger canvas as Orlando Mural Festival returns for its third year, bringing approximately 15 local, national and international muralists together to create large-scale works of art throughout the heart of the city.

A program of Downtown Arts District and CityArts and presented by the Downtown Development Board, the Orlando Mural Festival gives residents and visitors the opportunity to experience art coming to life in real time as artists transform walls and spaces throughout Downtown Orlando.

The 2026 festival kicks off during 3rd Thursday on Thursday, September 17 from 6pm-9pm at CityArts, with a special exhibition in the upstairs Signature Gallery showcasing studio work from muralists who have participated in the Orlando Mural Festival during the past two years.  The exhibition offers visitors a different perspective on the participating artists and a chance to experience their work beyond the large-scale murals they have created throughout the city.

The celebration continues on Saturday, September 19 from 2pm-10pm with the Orlando Mural Festival Art Party at CityArts, the Fordify the Arts Courtyard and Thornton Park Market on Central Boulevard.  The free art party will bring art directly into the heart of Downtown with live panel muralists and artists creating throughout the day, art vendors, live music, food vendors and more.  Guests will enjoy art vendors, sticker exhibition, DJ Krazy Dazie, DJ M9.3 and DJ Hulian, plus Dizzlephunk Live featuring CreativAngel, Saxy Billy and Cone Figgins will have an album release performance from 8pm-10pm.

“Orlando Mural Festival has become such an exciting way to bring artists and our community together while showcasing the incredible creativity happening right here in Downtown Orlando,” says Barbara Hartley, Executive Director of Downtown Arts District.  “There is something really special about watching a work of art come to life right in front of you, and we love giving people the opportunity to experience that creative process while discovering artists from Orlando and around the world.  As we enter our third year, we’re excited to continue growing the festival and adding even more vibrant public art to our Downtown.”

Mural painting will begin on the weekend at locations throughout Downtown Orlando and Thornton Park, with an expanded footprint this year with participation by the Thornton Park District and the City District.  View the 2026 Orlando Mural Festival murals and muralists in action at the following locations:
